India has witnessed a boom in terms of many people turning to entrepreneurship in this decade. And one of the major reasons for this can be attributed to the fact that business can be easily started and operated in India. A fact to prove this point is the recent jump for India up to rank 77 (up by 23 places) when it comes to ranking for ‘Ease of Doing Business’ as per World Bank. Through this jump, India has gained the top spot in South Asia, and the third spot among BRICS.
With this jump of 23 spots, India has managed to climb up the rankings by 53 places in the last two years. This is a significant achievement as India is now recognized as one of the top 10 improvers for the 2nd consecutive year. This ranking got revealed as per World Bank’s Doing Business Report that assesses business regulation across 190 economies. Additionally, India is now in the top 25 list for three parameters – getting credit, getting electricity as well as protecting minority investors.
